My Amana BRF20 TW was working fine, fridge and freezer, yesterday. Today there is no cooling in either but the lights go on. I have the back opened up but am looking for advice as to how to start troubleshooting. Are these problems typically electrical in nature or mechanical?

Start by checking to see if the compressor is actually running it should vibrate and be hot to touch. If it isn't unplug the unit until you can figures out what's going on.

Check the start device to see if it rattles, if it does that's your problem.
