I have a 13 cubic feet upright freezer. The other day it just stopped and had almost completely thawed before I realized it was off. Since it's NOT an automatic defrosting freezer, I unplugged it, completely defrosted it, plugged it back in and it worked fine for a couple of days then stopped and started thawing. I could here something clicking on and off like it was trying to start, then all of a sudden it'd start and run for a couple more days then stop. This time, I unplugged it again, waited a couple hours, plugged it back in and it worked for a day and stopped again. Still I could hear the clickin like it was trying to start. I can repeat this process over and over but it won't keep working more tha a couple of days. HELP?!?!

Replace the overload and relay on the compressor. Autually I would replace thge overload and relay with a hard start kit. The directions are on the bag it comes in. RCO410 Tom ApplianceEducator.com
