Light in the refrig work, but no noise or movement in the bottom. No fan noise, no attempt by compressor to come on.

Is that a Monkey Wards frig? Check the defrost timer in the back of it if it's not there it will be in the controol box manually advance it out of a defrost and replace the timer

If that does not work. Unplug the refrigerator, and take the 2 wires off the thermostat, and put them together, and also put a little tape around it, so it does not hit metal, and then plug it in. It will be one of the two things mentioned on this thread. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
