I have a Kenmore Dishwasher that leaks water when run. It seems to run perfectly but leaks water. I suspect it's due to having not run at all for 8 months while we weren't living in the house. Other than the leak, it runs perfectly. The water is dripping from the bottom of the motor so I suspect, (correct me if I'm wrong), it's the impeller shaft seal. Can I replace this seal and carry on or will it require more than that?

Also, is there a write-up anyone knows about to accomplish that task?

TIA

I could not find 363.1414599, the following is for a 363.1414598.
Replacement parts for KENMORE 3631414598 | AppliancePartsPros.com
Would be best to check with AppliancePartsPros to make sure yours is the same.

There is a seal kit part way down the page. If you click on the picture a new page will open with more views and then you can click on them to expand them.
Basically a picture is worth a thousand words.
Looks like instructions are included.

Here is a good link with GE info
http://www.applianceaid.com/ge-dish.html

If I cross match WD19X10032 (#6 item in the above link), it comes back with the same number as the kit shown is the ApplancePartsPros link.

Cannot say but if it is the motor/pump seal this should fix it.
NOTE: Be sure to add a couple quarts of water to the unit before firing it up. These pumps do not like to run when dry, they can burn up the pump seal.

See above.

Also a turkey baster or sponge comes in handy to get most of the water out of the unit before disconnecting. Saves on mopping up a mess. Remove the sump cover to get at it. Be careful as there is often broken glass in the sump.

Thanks denman, I'm going to check it out. Maybe I can find a number on the motor that will verify which part I need.

The dishwasher came with the house, which we built, so maybe the model number is a contractor thing, idk.

Thank you and I'll post results.
