We have a Fisher Paykel Gas Dryer. The ignitor lights but then goes out after about 20 sec. Gas does not come on. If I pound on the dryer near the ignitor, the gas will come on. However, it won't necessarily stay on - sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I just replaced the Type M coils, but it's still doing the same thing.

Is this just a stuck gas valve?

Any ideas appreciated...

Well, it's actually a DG05, but I couldn't get a hit on the Model No. either. I was getting hits on DG04 or DG06. DG05 is what it says on the Model No. tag.

I'm finding that it's not a very repair friendly Brand - i.e., no online parts explosion diagrams...

Do you think you should use the term, "explosion diagrams" around a gas dryer?
