My Kenmore dryer is making a high pitch squeal/squeak, I cant tell where it is coming from. I have opened it up to look at it but cant see any broken. I tried belt dressing to make sure the belt was not slipping but it is still squeaking...

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I just had it worked on in July but he of course only covers his work 30 days. He fixed the same squeak.

Jamie,

Most of your high pitched squealing noises are due to a bad Roller bearing or Idler pulley bearing.

Part number: AP3138521
Part number: AP3138521

Part number: AP3094197
Part number: AP3094197

Do you remember, what he did or do you have a copy of the work order, to get a better idea of what may have been wrong before.

Good Luck,

I found the work order but there are no details. So all I can tell you that he did was worked on the squeak. Well it's back and it worse than ever!

After looking at your pics you posted I think it is the Idler pulley becuz it does not have the washer or triangle washer on the arm where the idler pulley is.

I bought the part and hopefully that is it!

I keep ya posted.

Jamie,

OK, then,

Good move, I'm sure, you'll be alright after you replace the part.

I was wonderring if he had replaced a part, or if he just cleaned and lubed the rollers, etc.

Good Luck,
