Remove the lower panel, on the RT. side of the unit there are 2 nuts screwed onto the heater where it sticks through the tub. Kill the power, and take it apart. Do you know that its BAD???

Are you talking about nuts (#15 on the break down diagram)? Just unscrew them.

Gene.

Remove the wires from the element and unscrew the the white plastic NUTS, Are you SURE that you NEED to remove it??? I really think that maybe you would be better off hiring a PRO to look at it for you.:)
