I ordered the door handle and nut / washer parts:

Part Details - WHIRLPOOL Handle, Oven Door (Black), part number: AP3028282

Part Details - WHIRLPOOL Harness, wire, part number: AP3076636

However, I can't figure out how they go together. The 'bolt' on the door handle has no threads. It looks like the 'nut' is supposed to cut the threads as it goes on, but it's not sharp enough. Do I use some other tool to cut threads on the 'bolt' piece, and then put the 'nut' on?

Well, it turned out to be a compression fitting. I'd tried hammering it in but that hadn't worked. Turned out I just needed to hammer harder :)

I figured I'd post a response in case someone else ran into the same issue.
