Middle and upper spray arms will not turn during cycle. Are they always supposed to turn or will they turn at different times during the cycle?

If the unit has a small rectangular drain cover near the back of the tub, remove the cover and yank out the plastic filter and clean it.If it has a lot of detergent residue, remove the spray arms, dump a gallon of vinegar in it, and run the dishwasher to clean it out.

I ran two complete cycles with Lemonaide flavored Kool Aid mix (used it for the citric acid, 4 packets per cycle) through the machine and one final complete cycle with a gallon of vinegar. Three cycles total.

All three arms are spraying and rotating!

Thanks

wait until the unit is in the main wash cycle and just dump it in the bottom of the tub. Ours drains twice before gettting into the main wash cycle, usually about 18 minutes from the time you start it on the normal setting.

You might also want to check the spray arm holes for blockages, as well as the plastic screen/mat in the bottom of the unit below the main spray arm. Most of the small holes should be open in the screen.
