5 times a day the fan and compressor stops, light works. This started happening this summer in a heat wave. So I cleaned the fan and topside had lots of mold still not better. As I can see in the ladder diagram the defrost timer is the only thing that can cut out the fan and comp at the same time. Is the defrost timer servicable or cleanable. What tells it it's time to defrost? Where can I get a new one cheap? Thanks for your input Channing

Here your parts Replacement parts for R22CWF3 ARCTIC AIR/REFRIGERATOR | AppliancePartsPros.com Is the defrost timer servicable or cleanable. No What tells it it's time to defrost? The timer is Item 23 in section 3. It is just a motor with a cam and a set of contacts on the cam. Looks like yours does a defrost cycle every 12 hours. 1 revolution of the cam. Defrost usually last about 30 minutes. Where can I get a new one cheap? See the parts. I have never seen a timer speed up so before replacing I would check the wiring for a bad connection somewhere. I do not have a wiring diagram for this unit but if you are sure that the main thermostat cannot shut off the fan and the wiring check out OK, I would replace the timer. |
