Just moved the unit to a new house. Bought it used. The washer tub acts like it is not attached. It is very loose and wobbly. It hits the sides of the washer housing. The spring is still attached. What else do I check?

There is also a spring in the rear that's hard to see. It counters the weight of the motor/pump assembly. Sometimes it will dis-connect or break.

EDIT: I was picturing the wrong style of machine. Sorry.

The two shocks in the back have worn huge holes through the metal bracket they were attached to. Any suggestions on this now? Is that piece called the support? How difficult is that to replace or should I just cut my losses and get a different unit?

Any chance of posting a pic of the damage?

From your description, it sounds like you're going to have to replace the struts and the outer tub.
