Good morning.
We have a Jenn Air JES9750AAB. This model uses a touchpad. Yesterday, while baking bread, we discovered that the oven is not working properly. Only the upper element was heating and it would not turn off. I had to turn off the breaker in the breaker box to turn the oven off.
There are no error codes showing on the control panel.
After leaving the oven off all night I tried it again this morning. I set the oven for 200 degrees and the upper element turned bright red.......the lower remained cool looking........and the oven would not turn off.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for your help.

Sorry friends.
It's the OVEN that won't turn off........Not the "over"!!!!!!!!!

My Jenn-Air JES9750 did the same thing I had to remove the broiler element in order to use the stove top. In the past I would trip the breaker for a few minutes and the oven would, let's say reset. I have been all over this thread and have seen where it is suggested to replace the key pad assembly. That's the whole panel. I think it is the control board mounted in the assembly or possible and maybe the oven sensor may have something to do it. I will do more troubleshooting. Maybe the guys at AAP will chime in. BTW I can tell some people that have changed out the key pad assembly have not worked on military aircraft on electrical or electronic black boxes. lol
