The control panel on the Whirlpool Double Oven is blank. I can push some buttons and the oven will "beep", but nothing functions except the oven lights (on/off). I've looked in the various forums and from what I can tell the problem is the keypad or the electronic control board.
I've pull the various connectors and cleaned them and reinstalled them and shut off power for several minutes; nothing has changed.
How do you determine whether the problem is the control board or the keypad.
And the return policy says I can return an unused electrical item. If I install the keypad and it's the electronic control board, may I return the once installed keypad?
Thanks for you assistance!

It is # 37. What you have to do is pull the oven out of the wall, and set it on the floor, and then take the back panel off, and there will be a round thermostat with 2 wires coming to it. Sometimes this is the problem. The easy way to check it is, make sure the power is off, and take the 2 wires off of the thermostat, and put the terminal ends together. So basically we are jumping out the switch. Put some tape around the terminal ends, so they stay together, and so the don't hit metal, and then turn the power on, and see if the control board functions and the ovens work. If so, replace the thermostat, and the upper oven sensor, and that should do it. Don't run the oven with the thermostat jumped out. This is for testing only If not, you need to replace the clock control board. Tom Appliance Educator, Appliance Parts, Washer and Dryer Parts, Refridgerator and Freezer Parts, Stove and Oven Parts
