I have a glass top Maytag (I believe the Model is MER6770) that the front right burner at time will stay on high regardless of the setting it is on. Very erratic and you never know when it will suddenly stay on high - there has been a few burnt grilled cheeses. Very difficult to research online, but the best lead I have is that there is an element with a limiter under there that may need to be replaced. Any help here?

Not really as it probably would check out OK.
You could unplug the unit and check the connections to the switch for any sign of overheating, corrosion or pitting. |
