Make sure the washer legs are properly adjusted and the washer is leveled properly. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for MAYTAG HAV2558AWW Washer - Top Loading \| AppliancePartsPros.com Gene. In case it would not help post the serial number of the washer.
