I'm hoping it may have something to do with the defrost timer. Maybe ? I ordered one for it and gonna try it. Model number's hard to find cause so old, but we did find the part # for the timer, cross-referenced to a generic one "one size fits most." Thanks for the post, man. charlie

Hi Charlie,

Just to add my 2 cents...
Remove the rear panel in the freezer and check how the evaporator coil is covered with snow. Normally it should be 100% of light snow.

If there is much less snow (with clean condenser and the condenser fan runs properly) then the problem is with the sealed (cooling) system. It could be low on Freon.

Such problem has nothing to do with the defrost system.
