given my issue w/the electric range in my prior post... i noticed, while in Lowes an open-box, clearance on a GE Profile 30" gas range that looks like it will swap into the same space. They're asking $600. We don't have natural gas here... so figuring i'll investigate bringing in LP. Would be easy to place/service a tank behind the wall where the cooktop is. Question is... is there an LP conversion kit available for this unit and where can i get one? I gather it originally came with one... though because this was a floor model, they don't seem to have any connecting hw (not sure if there should be any) and no LP conversion kit.
I searched on the site for parts for that model number, but i didn't see any 940 models.
again thanks as i try to figure out whether to repair the old, or replace

It should come with a LP conversion kit. The conversion kit for this cook top is sold separately(each burner has it's own orfice. If it doesn't come with them I would talk them down a lot before buying it! I can give you the part numbers if needed.

right-- understood that part of the spec of that unit is to include the LP conversion kit. Though as noted, it's open box @ $600 ask, with no conversion kit around anymore (and for that matter i don't know what other connecting hardware might be needed/missing to connect it to a propane line. So any part#s, links to where i can buy them online, etc would be great... so i can see the total package price. That would help in my negotiation. eg. i'm totally open to whatever specific recommendation about what 'talk them down a lot' means in terms of what a realistic/good price is given what it will cost me to get it working (in terms of parts), as well as what you think a reasonable floor model price is given i have to buy additional parts.
On a quick search, the cheapest i've seen is:
Ge JGP940SEKSS 30" Sealed Burner Gas Cooktop with Gas-On-Glass Surface & Control Lock Capability: Stainless Steel - FotoConnection.com
which is $819 + $59.99 s/h. And it appears Lowes competitor HD is selling that unit for ~$1050 online and had it on sale last week for $950.

Right rear orfice AP2026953
Left rear AP3891174
Right front AP2626673
Left Front AP2626427

You have to install these on the correct burner. You will also have to remove the cap and turn it over and reinstall it on the pressure regulator. Which should be in the manual, provided you get it or I think you can download them on line.

hope that helps you.
