The fridge works properly up until it finishes putting water in the ice tray. As soon as the tray finishes filling up it pours water on the floor through the water dispenser for about 10 seconds. Then everything is fine until it has to make new ice again and the process repeats. I need to know what to check and what I may have to purchase.

Is the water coming through the ice door or water dispenser, i.e. the tube the water flows from when dispensing water?
If it's through the tube, the problem is most likely a dispenser valve is which is stuck open. This causes it to dispense water when ever the ice maker is calling for water.
The reason it doesn't pour water out at all times is because there's a thrid valve that feeds both the ice maker and dispenser valves. It's when this valve opens that water flows through both secondary valves at the same time.
If the water if coming from the ice chute, the water that should be filling the ice tray is missing the tray and pouring into the bucket. If this were the case, the unit would not be making ice - which you didn't mention, so I doubt that this is the case.

But it happens after filling the tray I can hear it dump the ice then fill the water and finally pour out the water dispenser. Whould that still be the same issue? Also how do i find this valve and test it?

So, the water from the dispenser is pouring out after the ice maker tray has filled and not while it's filling?
If it's definitely after the ice tray has filled, the board may be sending power to the dispenser valve when it shouldn't be. If it's while it's filling, the dispenser valve is stuck.
You can force the ice maker to cycle by pressing the green button on the front, right corner of underside of the ice maker.
The valve is located behind the unit, in the base area. You'll see it mounted to the right side wall.
