Freezer got warm first then the bottom compartment followed. Compressor does not run. Both fans do. Would this be the defrost timer? Help please.

What is the complete model number of the refrigerator?

The problem with your refrigerator has nothing to do with the defrost system. It could be the main control board (#801 on the break down diagram) or the compressor itself.

Check for 120VAC at the connector J7-9 (orange wire) to the terminal J8 (black wire).

If there is no 120VAC then replace the control board.

If there is 120VAC then the compressor has to be replaced and it has to be done by a certified technician.

- The part number for the main control board is AP3950129
