Getting lots of ice buildup behind ice maker and in ice bucket and now recent frost in freezer and water on floor when ice maker is operative. Good news is ice maker is still making ice. With ice maker off (now removed) water does not flow out of tube, and freezer seems to be fine (and defrosted itself).

Wife wants a new fridge (current one works fine, except this problem)....

What should I be replacing, please?

I removed the complete ice maker (and disconnected it from the wiring harness), There is now no leakage. This means the electric water valve in the back of the fridge is okay, right? So it has to be a valve that is part of the ice maker. Do I need to replace the whole ice maker, or just the module and motor assembly? Or is there yet an smaller (less expensive) part I can replace within the module?
