Hell I have the fridge mentioned above and it just quit getting cold on either side (side by side stainless gold series) It had been sitting in the garage for about six months (because of this problem) and now I'm trying to fix it. It seems to be running normal. The fans are running and air is blowing out like normal just not cold. I turned the defrost timer to defrost mode and the fridge did turn off. I then waited a few minutes and touched the defrost heater and it never got hot. It appears to be in good shape. I did also do an OHM test and it checked out fine. Could it be the bimetl-def? Please help.... Jason

DO you hear any clicking noises coming from around the compressor? Also make sure the comprssor is actually running, it should be vibrating a lilttle and hot to the touch. Nat

No the compressor does not appear to be running. It doesn't even get warm much less hot. However, every minute or so there are a couple of clicks coming from the white box (i think) mounted to the side of the compressor. Thanks for the reply.
