Hi --

The fridge is 7 yrs old and out of warranty. My ASM Main board caught on fire. I removed the ASM main board and found the replacement part I need online, but I don't know what to do about the burnt connector. There is a tag w/ a number on it -- not sure if you can buy just the connector.

Here are 3 pics - can someone tell me what I should do?

Here are your parts.
Replacement parts for General Electric PTS22LHPARWW Refrigerator | AppliancePartsPros.com

It does show the harness as a part, see Section 9.
Unfortunately is does say "Out of stock" so you will have to contact them.

This may be a job for a pro as the parts attached to this board will have to be checked out just to be sure that one of them did not cause the problem.

I would contact the dealer and/or GE as they usually take fires seriously.

Here is a link that you may find interesting.
http://****************.com/wp/2007/02/05/motherboard-recall-on-ge-refrigerators/

I cannot add the link so here it is in another form just remove the XX's and paste it into Google.
http://XXfixitnow.comXX/wp/2007...all-on-ge-refrigerators/

When I copy the GE part number for the board that is mentioned and then use it to cross reference back to AppliancePartsPros it comes back as the same board that is in your unit.

More research on your part about this issue may save you some money.
