I have a combo M/W and oven unit. ( Unfortunately the same one as in in my last house that I said I didn't ever want to have again.) WAY too small.
Anyway, I was preheating the oven and the next thing I new everything was dead. No lights, no power, no beeps. Nada.
I checked the useless "troubleshooting" in the manual and all it said was to check the circuits. All is fine. Nothing blown in the house, all other appliances in the kitchen are working fine.
Next step, go online and look for reports or repair issues, parts, etc. All I have found is that most parts are no longer available and it is as if the appliance doesn't exist anymore. (NO supprise there). Also that it could be the control board, but I haven't found it anywhere.
My last experience with repairmen on a brand new not working dishwasher (Sears) has turned me off of repairmen. Does this sound like something we can repair ourselves? We are tech challenged. This is not a time when we want to be replacing it althought I had been hoping to do so eventually with double ovens....but haven't solved the "where to put a MW" issue. Suggestions?
thank you. BR

If you havean ohm meter test your capacitor, part # AP2025984. If it went out you won't have power.
Nat BTW....if need be call someone else besides Sears.
