Morning folks.
GE side by side is down for the count.
Main board (#EBX1005G01 Rev L, Tag 200D2260G007) has a burned terminal on back, appears to be at compressor relay. Looks like it could be cleaned and resoldered but I suspect this a sympton and not the problem. If I replace the MB am I simply looking at a subsequent failure due to issues with comp/capacitor/relay?
Anyone have a link describing process for checking comp windings. I have a decent digital meter but no ampmeter?
Not too worried about throwing some money at this bad boy cause my better half is talking new and that's big money.

Thanks for your advice!

That is a common failure with these boards, just order a new one on this site (WR55X10942) a newly designed board: you should have no trouble with it.

I appreciate the quick reply.
I got antsy though and went to a local shop. They had one on the shelf for $180, so I went for it. Freezer is at 12.8 and food section is at 26.4 right now. This is empty with dials up around 7-8 so I think I'll be good to go.
Thought about trying to repair the original but figured as soon as I reinstalled, the defrost timer would go south on me.
A little beer money lost but, I guess that's life.
