I don't know how old this washing machine is and I am a renter. It is a White Westinghouse model #LT800-JXW1 front loader. Everytime it goes to spin cycle it sounds like the house is coming down. Is there possibly something out of alignment? What can I do? I am pretty good at fixing things if I know where to start. Please help me. Erin in Yamhill:(

I would check the floor first, place a half full glass of water, 3 foot in front of the washer and see if the water moves. Nat

I have the same or a similar machine (2 yr. old Westinghouse white front-load washer). A technician recently told me the wash tub/basket is loose and needs to be replaced (can't be done on site, must go to the shop). The problem may be from running the machine, if only for seconds, with the shipping bolts still attached. The jarring is substantial and loosens everything on the inside. This could result in a more harsh oscillation.

Rebecca, Why does the tech have to take your washer into the shop to replace the drum?? We have changed several of those out in the customers house. Nat
