I replaced the dispenser control board on my GE Profile side by side refrigerator because my ice maker was working but would not dispense through the door. My water dispension worked, but at times would take an extended time to dispense. Now that I have replaced it, nothing is dispensing. I do know the board has power, because I can turn the light off and on. There were only two wire harnesses, not the same size, no way to plug it in the wrong way. I removed the new board, using a volt meter, checked whether or not the switch was shorting, the readings were good. I even compared the readings to the board I had replaced, which was shorted. I cannot figure out what is going on, unless now the mother board is having problems, is it possible that replacing the dispenser control board could knock out the mother board?

check the power plug. It is located above the freezer door under the plastic cap for the top door hinge, you probably have a bad connection in that connector. Take a very small flatblade screwdriver and spreat the male connectors apart abit to make a better connection with the female side
