Only the interior light works-LG electric dryer

Hi! We purchased an LG washer and dryer (electric) from a reliable seller. They were delivered via a pickup truck to our house (about 30 miles). We bought a cord/plug for the dryer and plugged it in. We hit the power button and the lights around the dial came on like everything was ok. We turned it on to dry, the drum made about 1 revolution, then it tripped the breaker in the house. Now, only the interior light will come on when the door is open. No display lights or anything else. We checked and the wires that plug in to the circuit board are getting electricity. Should we try changing the circuit board or could it be something else? I noticed that the interior light (that works) is not connected to the circuit board. How do you change a circuit board? Thanks in advance for the help! ~Kristi~

Check your wiring if you had to install a plug as well as the cord. If it isn't correct the control boards and the motor may be shot. We had one like that a few weeks ago. A brother-in-law had put a cord on a dryer incorrectly and basically blew the machine up. Nat

Thanks for the info! ;) Just to clarify, the outlet was there....we just had to buy the cord/plug. Seems like most electric dryers are not sold with the electrical cord/plug...you have to buy one depending on your outlet. Anyway, we ordered a control board and it should arrive Tuesday. Does anyone have tips for installing it?
