Our Gibson dryer is having a problem with "catching" clothes or dryer sheets. We notice these items hanging from the front top center, and they have a dark brown tint to them (not sure if that's from heat or from something else, as there is never a "hot" smell). It's like there's a gap there that is catching these items. Also, it it wearing or tearing small holes in various clothing items - even if we don't find them hanging from that area, it seems they are at least getting snagged there.

Does this require replacing the whole drum, or is there some kind of sealing ring or something that has worn out and is allowing this to happen?

Thanks in advance!!!

Hard to say, this is one of those problems we need to be there to see what is going on.

Flip up the top by inserting a screw driver in the gap between the front and the top near the edges to release the clips that hold the top down. It will now flip up and maybe you can see what the problem is.
