Hey guys :)
My oven wasnt working and i decided to have a look at it, thinking it might just be the heater coil. I opened up the back and found the wire to the coil was fried and severed just by the connector coil. I cut it and put on a new connector and put the oven back together, very chuffed with myself thinking about the cookies my girlfriend had promised to bake when i fixed the oven :D
Little did i konw that the two connectors to the heater coil was touching the backplate and when i turned i on the oven i shorted out the circuit with a loud bang and a neat smoke effect too
Now to make a long story short, i tested the two coils (the broiler was working before i started my little adventure) and both they both seem fine. The oven doesnt work though. Theres a constant light in the "oven" indicator. Even when the oven is turned off. Unfortunately in no wiz with elctrics, but im pretty sure its something in hte switch it self that needs to be replaced. Just ot sure what or how to test it. Any ideas?

Thanks guys.
