i have a magic chef washer that stopped mid cycle. now it wont do anything from any setting. im thinking it might be the lid switch so id like to kn ow if you can bypass it for testing purposes. i know you can check with a meter but mine is messed up. also could it be the timer and if so how you test that? i have read that the plastic timers hardly ever fail but i dont know. any help would be great..... thanks in advance

You can certainly by pass it for testing. Make a jumper wire to by-pass the lid switch. If it is bad, replace it, don't run the machine without a good one.

Here is the part.
