Replaced relay and capacitor as per forum. plugged in started fine freezer and frige came down to setting. refrigerator clicked off after about three hours. clicked back on after awhile as it should. Fan came on relay clicked but no compressor relay kept trying but to no avail. This was all my original problem when I first signed on to this post. On a hunch I pulled power plug waited a few seconds and replugged fan and compressor both came on. any suggestions out there? Really need help, Thanks

You have a hard starting compressor, probably a bad start winding. I would look at the compressor for burnt wire. If ok, You might want a pro to look at it to confirm compressor failure.

I'm little slow at 71 years but if you could set me straight it would be great. Is there more than one start winding in compressor? It seems If I unplug and replug all is well starts immediately no hum no problem. If I turn two knobs all the way down and then all the way up comp. will start,no problem. It just doesn't start on it's own during normal cycling. the relay just clicks on and off. (with the new relay a heck of a lot quieter than the old one I might add) I can't really trouble shoot with the elec. scheamatic provided. I think it's time to give up the ghost and get new one but today it looks like a lot of garbage. Thank you very much for your help. Frank P.S. after six years an one month this is the only problem I've had. Love this frige.
