Hi, My Gibson washer stops at the spin cycle, leaving most of the water in it. Tried different settings. Its not the lid switch, checked that. It agitates fine. Took it apart, unhooked hose closest to me coming from tub and it drained the water, took other hose off going to outside and no water came out. Did not see anything clogging it. little fan thing turns fine. Will I need a new drain pump ? Its less than 5 years old, and only do 6/8 washes a year in it. imho should last longer than that. Any advice is appreciated Thank you

Maybe something has gotten down the pump blocking the impellar from turning like a coin? do you see the fan turning when it's trying to pump? When you manually advance it into the spin cycle with a full tub of water will it pump out then?

Just did another wash after hooking all up again. This time it went all the way to stop, but the water was still in there. So took off the hose that comes from the tub, and all the water gushed out, then I hit the knob again at the spin cycle and and it spun fine, the little fan worked , all spun ok, more water which was spun out, and the wash turned out like it used to. So basically the water does not go from one hose to the other, so I guess thats the little pump where the fan is in between???? Thanks for the reply, will take any suggestion please :-)

Kinda sounds like something is blocking the drain hose remove the outlet hose from the pump and blow air through it to see if it's obstructed the drain hose is the one in your standpipe. I've seen small rags make it through the pump and get stopped in the hose

Thank you so much guys, did a google search for my washer problem and found this helpful site. Did what you said and found about a dollar worth of change an underwire for a bra as well as a small part from a zipper lol. Now my washer is running like new again thanks again.
