Is there any way to reverse the door opening from left-opening to right-opening on my stainless steel GE Profile PDS22SISARSS? It's stainless steel and seems to be missing the bottom screw hole on the right side. Every other hole and bit of everything for changing the door over is in place, just one screw hole for the bottom of the handle that isn't there.
Can a hole be added? Can the plastic insert in the door for holding shelves be taken out somehow and flipped so the whole door can be flipped or something? Or remove the stainless steel skin and flip that over? Is there some kind of conversion kit out there? Can I buy a door drilled for right-opening? I'm just brainstorming possibilities.
It's already out of warranty, so if I can mod it without breaking it, I'm okay with that but don't want to go off half-cocked without asking for advice first.
Not likely, but I've gotten good help here before...or am I just stuck with a left-opening fridge until I replace it? That seems awfully dumb, even for GE.
