this washer will fill but it wont start i have checked the lid switch and it test good but it still will not start is there any other places that i need to test because i am not even getting the engaging sound that you get when it tries maybe the power cord could possibly be bad but my take on this is it not that since it is filling with water is that correct? i haven't checked it yet i will do that today.

Kenmore motor generally wont go out and not run at all so I would look at the connection on the motor or the timer after you pull to start the timer knob grab ahold of the knob and with a little force jiggle it up/down side to side and see if it will run Whirlpool timers generally have issues with the pull to start inside the timer check wiring on motor
