Hi everyone,
I bought a house with the Bosch SHU53A06UC /14 installed, and its working perfectly. We are now remodeling our kitchen on a budget, but try to go to panel-ready / integrated appliances. I think it would be a waste to toss the DW though. Can I buy some parts and convert this unit to one with the controls hidden on top and attach a matching cabinetry wood panel? As a second option, can I slide out the lower (black) door cover and mount my wood panel there, while keeping the upper control area?
thanks
Florian

Florian,
I do not think it is a good idea. You have to replace too many expensive parts and nobody can guarantee positive result.

thanks Gene for the insight. Will not attempt changing the panel then. Do you think my second option of leaving the controls in plce but changeing the lower panel for wood is feasible? thanks Florian

Florian,
It is possible but not for all models. You have to check the installation instructions and may be contact Bosch.
