It was late last night so I put a very large pot (thick, heavy metal) of boiling hot bean soup in my fridge. I don't normally do this, but have done it now and then. I woke up this morning to a fridge at 72F, and a freezer at 0F.

Thinking something got messed up becuase I made the fridge work too hard, I powered down for 5 minutes to reset the electronics and powered back on, but there was no improvement.

Now I am thinking, maybe working too hard caused some sort of ice build up somewhere, and I need to power down for 2-3 hours and let it melt, before turning on. It's hot and humid in S. Cal, right now, and I'm sure my cooking soup last night did not help.

Does this make sense? Any other ideas?

R.

P.S. I have learned my lesson!! I need to start cooking early enough to put room temperature food in the fridge.

Your unit has a separate compressor for the refrigerator side. Check to see if it's running.
