This dryer is possessed. The membrane buttons won't respond for a while, and then they do. Get it to turn off, and it turns itself back on. Going into diagnostics is a matter of first getting the pad to respond so it can start drying, and then again trying to get the pad respond to the different toggles to test the leds, bring up codes,... Another thing the dryer does is randomly beep with any number of shorts chimes. One thing I've noticed that happens is the "sensor dry" led lights with the chime; I tried disconnecting the sensor bar and the dryer still did the same thing. My thoughts are either the board or the membrane are bad, but don't know how to diagnose which one it is.

Your description, sure sounds like a bad touchpad assembly.
(We're kinda familiar with this unit).
