Depressing the power button produces only the '3 beeps of death'.
The diagnostic produces the following error codes:
C00
U00
U01
n01
C00
And after several minutes:
F70.

Suspect the CCU board, but can't test it. The connection from the door interlock microswitch is good. What else should I test?

After cleaning the corroded serial comm connector on the MCU, the washer powers up. After starting to fill, it stops. The diagnostic now produces either an F71 or F28. Either an MCC problem or a comm problem with the MCU. I now suspect the MCU is bad. Anyone have a better idea?
