I have a gas dryer that seems to be heating only on low, even when I switch the control knob. I have spare parts from a dryer that worked fine but the motor crapped out on. I have clear air flow. I have tried replacing the thermostats and coils and it still functions the same. Is it possible that the heat selector is malfunctioning? I have an entire burner assembly if I need to switch them out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Wally

Well you might need to REMOVE the filter housing and clean it out as well as under the blower itself. Also make sure the vent to the outside is perfectly clean and clear. if all of that don't do it then the cycling thermostat probably needs replacement.

It is located on the rear of the dryer to the left side and mounted right next to the fuse. SublimeMasterJW attached the following image(s):

I tested the thermostat and its working right, but it still takes at least an hour and a half to dry a typical load.

You need to remove the filter housing and wash it out and then clean out around the inside of the blower. Then clean out the vent.
