When the dishwasher initially starts the water is pumped in for only 25seconds and stops leaving standing water in Dishwasher approximately ¾ of an inch deep. It does not spray the water as the dishwashing soap is still on the cover door. It did drain over night though. It seems to partially cycle? As it is now in the Dry mode but no water has been pumped in as the dish detergent is still on the door wall. A little bit of water did get pumped in but then quit? It now reads clean and no standing water is evident. I think it has cycled but with little or no water. Thanks for your help! Howard

Hi Howard, Most likely the problem is a stuck circulation pump. You have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet in order to access the pump. You can try to rebuilt the pump, using the circulation pump repair kit or replace the whole pump and motor assembly. - The part number for the repair kit is AP2802376 - The part number for the circulation pump & motor assembly is AP2826384 Here are the break down diagrams for the Bosch dishwasher Model SHY56A05 UC/14 (FD8301-)Gene.

I pulled the motor and it is not frozen. The motor turns freely. The impeller had whole coffee beans in it and I cleaned it out and it moves freely. The motor shows 110 Volts in the wash position but it does not come on to circulate the water. The capacitor is not swollen or show any signs of burnt terminals. Any other things I should troubleshoot?

If there is 120VAC to the motor and it's not running then the motor is bad.
Gene.
