My maytag neptune washer is 9 years old. The pump went out and I replaced it, but it still does not sound right. It works and washes and goes thru the cycles, but does not sound. The door lock indicator light does not come on since I replaced the pump, but the door does lock. When replacing the pump does the wax motor need to replaced too?
Thanks Terri

Generally not when replacing the pump. You may want to double check some connectors for the indicator light.
What kind of sound is it making?
Also please post the entire model number so we can be sure to look at the exact one.
