When the dishwasher is turned on (any cycle) there is no flow of water into the dishwasher. I checked the water supply coming from the basement and there is water in the water supply line. You can actually feel the water in the supply line. On the cycle monitor, if I push the "normal" cycle button it skips the "heating water light"(first button/light) and goes to the "wash light"(second button/light) on the cycle monitor ; however, there is no water coming into the machine. What are the possible causes and fixes?

Remove the bottom panel. Check for 120VAC to the water valve while the control calls for water. If there is 120VAC then replace the water inlet valve (#7 on the break down diagram). If there is no 120VAC then check the float switch (#11 on the break down diagram) for continuity. It suppose to be closed while the float is down. - The part number for the water valve is AP2919519 - The part number for the float switch is AP2920872 Here are the break down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KUDA220TWH1Gene.
