Whirlpool gold dishwasher doesn't drain. Cycle ran and dirty water was standing in bottom of dishwasher. Pushed "drain" button and sounded like motor was running, but nothing drained. We vacuumed out the water with a shop vac, and my husband took apart the drain assembly and cleaned out some gunk. We ran the dishwasher, andi it sounded like it was running normally, but when the cycle was done, there was still water in the bottom! We then unhooked the drain hose and pushed the "drain" button, sounded like the motor was running, but nothing drained out. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if you've fixed this yet, but there is a good chance that your chopper assembly is broken. I've had the same problem three times with our GU630. You need to take apart the bottom assembly (there's a thread dealing with that) and take out the chopper assembly. You probably will find that the small plastic shaft attached to the screen/chopper is broken. It's only a $12 part from AppliancePartsPro and takes less than 15 minutes to fix (the third time, at any rate; it probably took a little longer the first couple of times).
