Tried using the washing machine today and it fills with water and then stops. Do not hear anything. Tried to spin and rinse but still nothing. Please help, can't afford an expensive repair:eek:

You might just have a bad lid switch, if it fails to click when you close the lid, that is your problem. You will have to go to the Sears parts direct web source to identify which parts you will need.
