Hello , I have a defrost problem am trying to solve. I unplugged both ends of the defrost hester and checkedd resistance,it checked 5 ohms. Most posts say around 20 is normal. Does this mean the heater is definately bad??? Thanks in advance for any response.

That sounds awfully low. Here's the replacement part: Part number: AP2150139
Part number: AP2150139

It wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the defrost thermostat, while you're at it. Part number: AP2150133
