I have a Whirlpool dryer that the front panel is dead, but when you unplug it for a while it resets itself and might work for about three times in a row then repeats the problem again, I just installed a new control baord and thought I solved the problem, but now it only lets you do one load before you have to unplug it for it to reset's, It will pass the 88 code on the front and when it is working it beeps thru the cycle.
Thanks for anyones help.

Dboo,

Don't quite understand "control board".

Did you replace the PC board, in the control panel,

or the PC board in the box on the left side of the cabinet interior?

This sounds more like a "User Interface" problem.

Part number: AP3129173
Part number: AP3129173

Or an intermittent door switch circuit.

Part number: AP3135340
Part number: AP3135340

Did you retrieve the Technical Data sheet from inside the cabinet, and run the control board tests ?
(sounded like it).

Good Luck,
:) :) :)

Yes I replaced the pc board in the top left hand cabinet of the dryer under the cover lid the board that is held in place with plastic clips, and yes I did run the test on the board from the Tech Data Sheet that was inside of the Dryer, do you think a door switch would cause this problem?

Dboo,

Did the User Interface Control, test proper ?

Yes the door switch or loose connection, or the door not latching properly, could create the problem.

At one time, the manufacturer had to redesign the catches in an effort to solve this type problem.

(But that was 4 or 5 years ago, I would guess you've got the updated catches on your machine).
