When I order a new icemaker for my Maytag, I see no easy way to change the shutoff arm from the old icemaker to the new without breaking something. Removing the icemaker, changing the wiring harness is easy enough. I've been told just to pull out the old bale from the control module. I could use some help on the removal and reinstall before I do anything. A new arm is no longer available.

Thank you.

C100,

Yes, that is the procedure,

Slowly and carefully remove the bale arm from the control module insert / mount,

There is enough flexibility in the rear mount support to allow for the 3/8 to 1/2 in. movement of the arm.

Just be careful .

:) :) :)
