The upper, convection oven of this double unit turns off after a few seconds in the pre-heat mode. There are no error codes. This happens when selecting any heating option.

I had a service repair person out yesterday. I showed him the failure. He then tried again and, of course, it worked fine. We couldn't recreate the problem. Since it was intermittant, he said that it would most likely be the expensive control module or relay module.

Today, it's not working. I pushed the reset button, but it still doesn't work. Could it possibly be the thermal reset module? That would be much less expensive than replacing those other modules.

thanks

Most likely the problem is a bad Electronic Range Control (ERC) but you can perform the troubleshooting as described in the Diagnostic Test Manual.

Post the results and we'll help you to find better prices for needed parts.
