Hello,
I just bought a Sanyo mini-fridge that I would like to convert into a proofing box for breadmaking. This basically involves wiring a lightbulb to a temperature control system designed to keep the interior of the fridge at about 85 F. To do this, I need to drill a hole in the fridge for the wiring to the lightbulb. I was also toying with the idea of cutting a small window out of the fridge and installing plexiglass, so I can monitor the inside without opening the door. Two questions:
1) Where and how is the best way to drill a hole through the fridge
2) Is there a way to patch such a hole if I ever wanted to return the fridge to its former use?

Steve,
The sides and top of the mini frig should be the best place to drill the hole. And you could probably patch the whole with epoxy later, but it may never work the same especially if you put plexiglass in the door.
If I were you find one that doesn't actually work to convert into your proofng box.
