My mom has a roper gas stove model #fgp337gw and the oven works but it never shuts off. She can bake but everything would burn up if she doesn't watch it closely. Can someone help with what the problem may be?

when you say that the oven won't shut off , how is the temp regulated ? does the thermostat work at all or do you need to pull the plug on the range ?
